In mid-May, the topping-out ceremony was held at the future headquarters of HÖRMANN Warnsysteme in Stade. Unfortunately, Bernd Eichstaedt, for many years the managing partner of HÖRMANN Warnsysteme GmbH in Stade, could not live to see it. He passed away at the beginning of the year. After all, it was he who had driven the new building in the Hanseatic city with his heart and soul. Anna Hörmann, as a member of the Hörmann family as well as Managing Director of HÖRMANN Warnsysteme GmbH, and Benjamin Eichstaedt, Managing Director of Hörmann & Eichstaedt Immobilien, mortared the traditional "time capsule" containing Euros, copies of construction plans and a diary for posterity. Friedrich Witt, Managing Director of Lindemann, the construction company responsible for the project, accompanied the cementing-in ceremony with great humour. Around 100 people, including current and former employees of the HÖRMANN branch in Stade, as well as the construction companies and engineering firms involved, celebrated until late into the night with beer, bratwurst & co.

More space for sirens and safety technology

The HÖRMANN branch in Stade not only installs and maintains approx. 6500 sirens in the north of Germany with an increasing tendency, but is also active in the field of safety technology. "We here in Stade are the largest branch of HÖRMANN Warnsysteme and the only ones within the HÖRMANN Group that specialise in safety technology," says site manager Olaf Pape. Both divisions are growing - more space has been needed for a long time. At the end of the year, the building on Julius-Leber-Weg will be ready for occupancy, and it will be thoroughly state-of-the-art and climate-friendly. Then 20 modern offices and a warehouse with almost 1000 square metres of usable space will be available.
