On 24 June, the Civil Protection Day will take place in Potsdam, Germany. The State of Brandenburg, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs and the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance have launched the event. Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser in a press release: "On Civil Protection Day, the focus is on the citizens. We want to show them how civil protection works and how people can also help themselves in emergencies. In the heart of Potsdam, more than 40 aid organisations and other actors will impressively demonstrate how diverse the measures to protect the population actually are. There will be many demonstrations and hands-on activities that invite people to experience, marvel and learn. In this way, we want to motivate people to get involved with the topic of population protection and personal precautions." The complete program can be found at the web address: www.tdbs23.de
A city-wide rehearsal warning will be triggered at 1 p.m. on 24 June 2023 to demonstrate different ways of warning to the population and to raise their awareness in case of an emergency. It will be sirens from HÖRMANN Warnsysteme that will be heard then.
